What is OrgPlus OnDemand?

OrgPlus OnDemand is a web-based organizational charting service designed to make it easier to create, maintain and share organizational charts. If you've ever struggled to keep track of different versions of org charts sent over email, OrgPlus OnDemand is for you.

You can create org charts from scratch, or import existing data from Excel – our wizard will guide you along.  Maintaining your charts is also easy – login to your account, pick a chart to edit, and use our intuitive tools and stunning themes to make changes, share the charts, or publish them to PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, or any printer.  Whether you collaborate with others online, present your charts in a presentation, or print them out, your charts will always look great. How many people can I chart?

You can chart as few as 30 or as many as 750 people. Pick a plan that’s right for your organization, and start creating org charts right away. You can create an unlimited number of charts and share them with anybody, both inside and outside your organization.

Will my free account ever expire?

Who can make changes to my charts?

Some companies centralize org-chart creation and management, and only allow a few people in HR to make updates to org charts.

As an account holder, you decide who can view your charts, and who can modify them or create new ones. Often, multiple org charts are created. Some contain basic employee information that is shared with the entire organization, while others contain sensitive information about employee salaries, performance, etc, and are only shared within HR or with employee’s supervisor. Can I share my charts with others?

Absolutely! OrgPlus OnDemand is designed to make it easy for you to share your charts with other employees or external stakeholders. You can invite anyone who has an e-mail address to see your charts. There is no need to install any software. Your co-workers will always have access to the latest version of the chart. Back to Top

My HR data is stored in Excel. Can I import it into OrgPlus OnDemand?

Use our wizard to import existing data from Excel (or any other program that supports comma separated value - CSV formatting). If your data contains hierarchical information, your chart and employee profiles will be ready in less than 2 minutes. If you do not have hierarchical information – no problem. All of your data will be imported automatically, but you will need to drag & drop individual employees into the org chart to create a hierarchy. Back to Top

Can I view my charts offline?

Absolutely. You can use OrgPlus Reader, a free application or OrgPlus Desktop, a full featured desktop product, to view and modify your charts offline. Back to Top

I always use PowerPoint to create and share my org charts. Why should I switch to OrgPlus OnDemand?

OrgPlus OnDemand is a dedicated online service designed from the ground up to make it easier to create, maintain, and share organizational charts. Whether you are starting from scratch or importing employee data from Excel, OrgPlus OnDemand will auto-generate your charts and optimize them to fit your screen better.

Do you need to get buy-in or approval on your new org structure? Share your chart in edit-mode, and ask your co-workers to edit the master chart, or insert comments.

I use Microsoft Visio to create and share my org charts. Why should I switch to OrgPlus OnDemand?

While creating small charts in Visio is easy, creating larger charts, and sharing them with others is cumbersome. As your organization changes, OrgPlus OnDemand charts will adjust automatically to look better on your computer screen, and printed charts will always have a professional appearance.  In addition, you can save your charts to PowerPoint or Adobe PDF, making it even easier to create great-looking presentations.

OrgPlus OnDemand will also help you share charts with others. You can share your charts with the entire organization, or with a select group of people. You decide who can view charts, and who can make changes. Is my information secure?

OrgPlus OnDemand utilizes some of the most advanced technology for Internet security available today. When you access our site using Netscape Navigator 6.0 or Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5.5 or higher, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects your information using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that your data is safe, secure, and available only to registered users in your organization. OrgPlus OnDemand provides each user in your organization with a unique username and password that must be entered each time a user logs on. OrgPlus OnDemand issues a session "cookie" only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session "cookie" does not include either the username or password of the user. OrgPlus OnDemand does not use "cookies" to store other confidential user and session information, but instead implements more advanced security methods based on dynamic data and encoded session IDs. We take the security of your account very seriously, and in addition to actively monitoring all the systems ourselves, we also contract with independent security experts to do periodic audits of OrgPlus OnDemand systems. Which web browsers does OrgPlus OnDemand support?

OrgPlus OnDemand is a modern Web service and requires modern Web browsers.

The site is best accessed using:

  • Internet Explorer version 7
  • Internet Explorer version 6.0 +

Other Web browsers may work but are not actively tested. The latest version of Adobe Flash Player is also required to view and edit charts. Back to Top
